  • 10 slices of guava paste approximately 2 1/2-inches long by 1-inch across by 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick
  • 1 beaten egg
  • Oil for frying or non-stick cooking spray if baking

Instructions

To Prepare Hand Pies:

  • Lay out the Goya discos or homemade empanada pastry discs on a clean surface. Using a pastry brush, gently brush the edges of each disc with the beaten egg. This will act as a sealant, helping the dough adhere together when folded.
